Information for Learners
Getting an education can be a challenge and having a disability can make this even more challenging.

Adult and Community Education
Of the many education and training options available in Victoria, Adult and Community Education (ACE) can play a vital role in your continued learning and help you to
- expand your skills and knowledge
- prepare yourself for possible career change
- gain a sense of personal achievement.
Visit the ACFE website for information on providers in your region.
ACE courses offer an informal and welcoming learning environment. While formal qualifications are very important (and ACE offers these) and particularly valued by employers, there may be times when you prefer to do a pre-accredited course, particularly if you have a fear of tests or don't like overly structured courses. Adult Community Education (ACE) provides early, less formal learning activities in a friendly local environment. ACE helps adults get back into learning, gain new skills and knowledge, gather their confidence and plan what other studies or work they might like to do. Visit the ACFE website for more information.
ACE courses cover a wide range of subjects and the majority are:
- flexible
- short duration
- part-time
- fee-for-service
- affordable
Visit the ACFE website for further career and course related information relevant to the ACE sector.
